Men On Boats is a true(ish) tale based on the journals of John Wesley Powell during his 1896 expedition into the Grand Canyon. In history, the one armed war veteran led nine other men through raging rapids and dire straits to explore new terrain. In Men On Boats, playwright Jaclyn Backhaus carves a space for us to put new explorers in those roles through “non-traditional” casting. Come see the roaring river carry our cast through a story of legacy, adventure, and survival!
